Metro Vancouver Canada Day Celebrations
Abbotsford
When: Sunday, July 1st, 2018
Time: 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: Mt. Lehman Community Hall ( 6418 Mount Lehman Road)
What to expect: The parade at 9:30 a.m. will be followed by cake and celebrations.
Abbotsford Parade & Celebration
When: Sunday, July 1st, 2018
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Location: Parade on South Fraser Way; festival & fireworks at Exhibition Park
What to expect: Come out early at 11:00 a.m. for the annual parade and stay to whole day for live entertainment, a food truck festival, community displays, hayrides & mini golf.
Burnaby
When: Sunday, July 1st, 2018
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Location: 6501 Deer Lake Avenue
What to expect: This FREE celebration of our country will have children’s heritage games, children’s entertainers, a parade, face-painting, and Canada Day red velvet cupcakes. Carousel rides are $2.65 each.

What to expect: Bring the entire family and enjoy face painting, music, arts & crafts, and much more! Admission is free.

What to expect: Artists Said the Whale, DJ Khanvict and The Boom Booms will be performing. A fireworks show caps off the celebrations.

Time: 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. (pancake breakfast starts at 8:00 a.m.)

What to expect: The day starts off with the annual pancake breakfast and will see live music and activities take place throughout the day.
Coquitlam

Time: 12:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Location: 1299 Pinetree Way
What to expect: This FREE event will have a diverse lineup of live entertainment, delicious ethnic and regional food, multicultural activities, and fireworks.

Location: 1st Avenue & 56th Street
What to expect: An official ceremony and cake cutting will take place at 1:00 p.m.
When: Sunday, July 1st, 2018
Time: 5:30 p.m. – 10:45 p.m.
Location: 11400 76A Avenue
What to expect: This celebration will have live music, BBQ, food vendors, and fireworks.
Langley
When: Sunday, July 1st, 2018
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: Mavis Avenue & Glover Road
What to expect: Outside the museums from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., guests can explore vendors and displays, try hands-on activities and games, get their faces painted, take a hayride, and visit critters at a petting zoo and reptile exhibit.

What to expect: Celebrations include live musical performances and entertainment, a playground, food trucks, and a mini version of the Langley Community Farmers’ Market.

What to expect: Crafts and entertainment will be going on for the entire family to enjoy.
North Vancouver

Time: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: 200 Block of West Esplanade
What to expect: Hosted by the Rotary Club of Lions Gate, come out for a variety of games and activities.
When: Sunday, July 1st, 2018
Time: 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Location: East 13th Street, Lonsdale Avenue and West 17th Street
What to expect: The day starts off with a pancakes breakfast, with the parade beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Port Coquitlam
When: Sunday, July 1st, 2018
Time: 8:00 a.m. at Lions Park/12:00 p.m. at Castle Fun Park
What to expect: The day starts at with the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast (8am) and the annual FREE fishing derby for kids 10 and under. Head over to Castle Fun Park at noon for the opening ceremonies and cake cutting.
Port Moody
When: June 29th – July 2nd, 2018
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (Thursday); 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. (Friday & Saturday); 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Sunday)
Location: 2800 Murray Street
What to expect: The Golden Spike Days Festival commemorates the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway line and its arrival at the original western terminus in Port Moody. Over 40,000 people from all walks of life are expected to come out and enjoy live entertainment, special events, food trucks, a beverage garden, and activities for all ages.
Richmond
When: Sunday July 1st, 2018
Time: 6:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
What to expect: Hosted by the City of Richmond, a headline performance by Juno Award-winners Big Sugar and fireworks over the Fraser River will cap off the Canada Day celebrations. The highlight of the day is indeed the Steveston Salmon Festival. the festival is famous for its salmon barbecue where over 1,200 pounds of wild salmon filets are grilled over open fire pits. An annual tradition since 1945, the Salmon Festival also features a huge Canada Day Parade through historic Steveston Village.
Surrey
When: Sunday, July 1st, 2018
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Location: East and West Beach
What to expect: There will be kids activities, live music, food trucks, and fireworks at 10:15 p.m.
Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre
When: Sunday, July 1st, 2018
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Location: 17728 64 Avenue
What to expect: Hosted by Coast Capital, there will be an amusement park, food trucks, children’s activities, fun booths, live music, giveaways and much more happening throughout the day.
Vancouver

Location: Woodland
What to expect: See the Kara-Kata band, many community booths and tons of family friendly entertainment.
