Summer trips to the North Shore are about to get more exciting for locals! Grouse Mountain just announced that they are investing $9 million on new attractions.

This includes a Mountain Coaster and the North Shore’s only chairlift-accessed Mountain Bike Park, both coming in spring 2025. These will debut following the launch of the Resort’s state-of-the-art gondola, which is set to open in winter 2024/25.

Grouse Mountain’s New Mountain Coaster

The Mountain Coaster will provide an exhilarating ride through old-growth trees, offering stunning views of Vancouver.

It will start at the mountaintop and speeds up to 45 km/h and a 91-meter vertical drop. Construction is currently in progress, with stage one completed in 2023.

Michael Cameron, President of Grouse Mountain Resort, highlighted that this coaster will showcase a different side of the Resort for non-skiers and snowboarders.

New Mountain Bike Park

The Mountain Bike Park is also opening in spring 2025. It will use the Screaming Eagle chairlift for access, making it the only lift-accessed bike park on the North Shore.

Grouse Mountain is collaborating with Gravity Logic, builders of the renowned Whistler Bike Park to create trails for all skill levels, from beginner to expert.

These trails will offer family-friendly fun and allow riders to complete more laps without climbing or shuttling.
