Look out public art!

Technology innovations are about to get some spotlight as well. The Vancouver Economic Commission and the City of Vancouver are accepting applications for use of city assets to display and demonstrate green and digital technologies.

The platform is designed for local tech entrepreneurs to showcase their innovations to the public and potential clients. This means we could see green walled parkades or greenhouse rooftops throughout the city.

Similarly, Surrey is home to the country’s largest non-commercial outdoor 3D screen used for showcasing digital and interactive art. The largest living wall (or green wall) in North America is also in Surrey, spanning the overpass at Guildford Town Centre.
