Westham Island Herb Farm Pumpkin Patch

This laid-back Delta farm is perfect if you want the pumpkin-patch experience without paying admission. Wander among the pumpkins, check out the scarecrow displays and take a few fall photos—you only pay if you bring a pumpkin or treat home.

Vandula Farms Pumpkin Patch Festival

Bring your own pumpkin—or pick one up by donation—and use the provided tools to create a jack-o’-lantern. There will also be live music, games and carving stations, with the finished pumpkins remaining on display along the glowing park walkways until Halloween.

Family Halloween Event at Newton Seniors Centre

Spooktacular Newton

This free street festival packs a lot into one afternoon, including trick-or-treating, crafts, train rides, face painting, mini golf, bouncy castles, a petting zoo and live entertainment. There is also an urban pumpkin patch where pumpkins are available by donation in support of the Surrey Food Bank.

BOO-seum Halloween Party

Museum of Surrey is throwing an early Halloween party with two crafts, BOO Bingo, performances, photo opportunities, special characters and a costume parade. It is indoors too, making it a handy backup when October weather does what October weather does.

For families looking for a calmer celebration, Museum of Surrey will offer relaxed trick-or-treating, crafts and a gallery scavenger hunt. There will be no loud noises, strobe lights or jump scares, and quiet spaces will be available whenever someone needs a break.

Halloween Craft Saturdays at Mackin House
Drop by the historic Mackin House Museum on Saturdays for Halloween crafts and colouring activities. It is a simple, free indoor outing that can easily be paired with a walk or playground visit in Coquitlam.

Heritage Halloween at Mackin House

Spooktacular Halloween Crafts at North Vancouver City Library

Central Spark

Burnaby’s big Halloween celebration returns with a DJ dance party, live entertainment, food trucks, a drone light display and fireworks. Costumes are strongly encouraged, so this is a good chance to get another wear out of that outfit before Halloween night.

Minoru Halloween Fireworks Festival

Richmond’s annual Halloween celebration usually brings together performers, games, trick-or-treating and one of the region’s biggest Halloween fireworks shows. The current 2026 event listing has it scheduled for Halloween night, but it is worth checking the City of Richmond website before heading out in case the hours change.

Free Vancouver Neighbourhood Halloween Displays
Turn an evening drive into a free Halloween-light tour by visiting some of Vancouver’s elaborately decorated homes. Popular stops include the 900 block of Bute Street, the 2400–2900 blocks of Trinity Street, the pirate ship at 1142 Lily Street, 971 Nicola Street and 5179 Fairmont Street.

Date & Time: Generally mid-to-late October; best viewed after dark

Because these are private homes, decorations and lighting times can change. Stay on public sidewalks, keep voices down and avoid entering yards unless the homeowner clearly invites visitors in.
Marpole-Oakridge Halloween Haunted House
Older and braver children can test their nerves inside this community-centre haunted house. The 2026 schedule currently lists multiple evenings with no admission charge, but the experience is recommended for ages eight and older.

Free Mall Trick-or-Treating
Several Metro Vancouver malls traditionally host free Halloween activities, photo displays and indoor trick-or-treating, which is especially helpful when the forecast looks soggy. Keep an eye on Lansdowne Centre, Aberdeen Centre and Willowbrook Shopping Centre, as their complete 2026 Halloween schedules have not yet been released.
