Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow can all welcome another Vancouver-filmed superhero series to the mix, this time a creative 11-part web show called Followers.
The parody web-series pays homage to the superhero comic book genre and cinematic universes. Followers was created and written by Vancouver-based filmmaker Milton Ng who also directs some episodes and stars as the various social media superhero characters.
Milton and team also adapted the concept into a film for The Mighty Asian Moviemaking Marathon (MAMM) presented by the Vancouver Asian Film Festival earlier this year.

The premise of the show brings social media to the next level as real-life superhero characters. The characters are based on popular social media platforms like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.
Each social hero has super powers specific to their platform like YouTube’s video ads and Snapchat’s filters.
