Metro Vancouver had its first taste of snow earlier this month, and the weather won’t be getting warmer anytime soon.
If you’re itching to escape the chilly temperatures and soak in the sun, we found a great deal that can get you far away from Jack Frost.
Xiamen Airlines has provided many great deals to Asia lately, including fabulous deals to Tokyo and Hong Kong. While most tickets to Bangkok are $1000 CAD and up right now, they are offering substantially cheaper airfare without a painful layover.
There are only a couple of dates in January that afford you this fantastic deal; however, if you fly from January 16th to January 27th of 2018, you’ll practically be paying half price for your ticket. They are offering the full return airfare from Vancouver to Bangkok for only $517.06 USD with all taxes included.
As of November 9th, the conversion to CAD is roughly $656.05, which is a phenomenal savings. What’s more, you won’t spend more than a few hours in each layover, so you don’t have to worry about a crazy overnight stop or one with barely any time to switch planes.
You can Purchase your ticket with Expedia here.
Explore Thailand Beyond Bangkok
While Bangkok is an exiting, fascinating city full of culture and entertainment, the rest of Thailand is just as amazing. With endless white sand beaches and glistening azure blue waters, the islands are some of the most paradisiacal in the world. Be sure to plan in advance if you would like to do some traveling while you are there, and decide on what works best in your time constraints.
Travel Tip: If you live like a local you can afford to stay an extremely long time. The average Thai person lives on a salary of under $300 CAD per month, so that means that there is a great deal you can do on very little. Try eating where the locals do, drinking the local brands of beer, and taking public transportation. Outside of the city things become even cheaper, so try exploring in the countryside.
Please keep in mind that you should always arrive 3 hours prior to your scheduled departure for international flights. There will be plenty to keep you entertained at YVR which was voted the best airport in the North America for an 8th time in a row.
