Daniel Sedin Selected To Represent Vancouver In 2016 All-Star Game

In a season that has been very hard on many Canucks fans, the one lone bright spot has been the play of Daniel Sedin, and for his work the fans rewarded him.

The National Hockey League announced today that Vancouver Canucks forward Daniel Sedin has been named as one of six forwards to represent Team Pacific Division in the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Game and Weekend, to be held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Playing in this all-star game will be Sedin’s third straight, a testament to his overall excellence, and longevity.

On the season he leads the team in points (38, which also ranks t-9th in the NHL), goals (17, which ranks t-11th in the NHL), power play goals (5), power play points (13), and game-winning goals (4). He also ranks second on the club in assists (21) and shots on goal (138).

A milestone watch is also on for Daniel who only needs three goals to surpass Markus Naslund (346) as the franchise leader in goals.

*John Scott was voted as captain by the fans
