UPDATE Nov. 30: Popeyes Chicken is aiming to open doors in mid December, according to a statement from their Operations Manager.
All good things come to those who wait—but for how long? When word got out that a Popeyes Chicken was coming to Port Coquitlam, people were pretty excited. And rightfully so. The province is seriously lacking Popeyes locations (there are none).
It was slated to open this Fall—November 15th to be exact. Now that the date has come and gone—chicken lovers are wondering when the new eatery will finally open their doors.

When it does open, it’ll be conveniently located in the Fremont Village Shopping Centre on Hawkins Street, right off Sherling Avenue.
It’ll be a welcomed addition to the area, which already has a number of fast food joints—including Five Guys, Burger King and Mucho Burrito.

The Louisiana based chain is best known for their fried chicken, corn on the cob, mac-and-cheese and popcorn shrimp (just to name a few). Their grub packs that Louisiana punch many Metro Vancouverites are searching for.
But Fremont Village says they will likely be opening within the next month and a bit—so we will have to wait a little bit longer.
