Ahead of another flower festival, the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival officially opens for the season today, August 1st, 2019.
Organized by the same group that put together the Tulips of the Valley event, the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival features close to 20 acres of over 35 varieties of sunflowers. This year also features 54 varieties of Dahlias, displayed across 2 acres.

The Sunflower Festival features, among several things, 17 different varieties of flowers for viewers to soak in. Visitors will wander through over three acres of sunflowers and be able to view some plants that reach twelve feet in height.
