There’s a new flower festival blooming in Metro Vancouver this summer. The first ever Richmond Sunflower Festival is opening at Richmond Country Farms this August.
Put on by the same family that brings you the Farms’ “The Pumpkin Patch”, this new festival opens on Saturday, August 3rd, 2019.
Visitors will be able to walk through over 8 acres of land that’ll have over 20 different varieties of Sunflowers and Dahlias.
When you need to cool down, enjoy a cool drink at their beer and wine garden or ice cream from vendors that’ll be onsite. You can also have a meal at one of their food trucks that’ll be available on weekends.
Get onboard their miniature train, which will have many interesting sights to see and presents many beautiful photo op’s! – including a ride through their pumpkin patch, blueberry field, vineyard, and maybe even a glimpse at our majestic Clydesdale horses! A small admission fee does apply for all train riders.
Not into train rides? Enjoy a tractor ride to the sunflower fields, play yard games, or take in a performance.
Before you leave, make sure you visit their fresh cut flower stand, where you can choose the perfect sunflower for your home bouquet.
Ticket time slots are available for every 2 hours between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $8 (plus tax) per person during the week and $15 (plus tax) per person during the weekend. Children under the age of 3 get free admission.
