The Honda Celebration of Light will return to English Bay as one of the most promising events of the summer.

Back for its 27th year, this year’s thrilling lineup will include Japan, the United Kingdom and home team Canada.

The three countries will take to the skies over Vancouver’s shores on the following dates:

  • Japan (AKARIYA Fireworks) – Saturday, July 29
  • United Kingdom (Jubilee Fireworks) – Wednesday, August 2
  • Canada (Royal Pyrotechnie) – Saturday, August 5

This year’s festival will focus on Canada’s 150th birthday with a focus on live music that celebrates our nation’s heritage. In addition, and for the first time ever, participating teams will be required to include one iconic Canadian song in the music accompanying their fireworks display.

At exactly 10:00 pm each night, rain or shine, fireworks from the barges in English Bay will light up the sky.

The winning team will be announced on August 8. Last year, it was Team Disney (USA) who took the crown. You can watch their fireworks show here.
