Canucks Mascot Fin Still Reps Our Team Despite Pay Cut

Even though Canucks mascot Fin works a four day week, and accepted a 20 percent pay cut due to the NHL lockout, Fin will still represent the Vancouver Canucks and make appearances on behalf of our city’s NHL team!

Fin will be working hard representing the Canucks at community events keeping the Canucks brand out there, despite the lockout. Fin even hosted the 8th annual Fin’s Friends Program at Rogers Arena, where 100 kindergarten to grade 3 teachers gathered to learn about promoting character and responsibility throughout our children’s classrooms!

Fin’s counterpart in Florida, better known as Stanley C. Panther, hasn’t been so lucky as Fin and has been laid off. Other part-time Canucks employees also have not been so lucky, as salary cuts mean they will lost about 44 or more working days in pay, which is equivalent to nine weeks of work with no pay!

Even though Fin has had his salary cut, he is still a cheerful guy who continues to rep the Canucks!
