The countdown is on for Canada’s opening match in the 2016 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship and Coach John Herdman has selected the 20 players who will represent our country in Texas.
Canada’s top priority is to secure a spot for this summer’s Olympic Games in Rio, and hopes to do so by earning CONCACAF’s top spot.
The new look roster is a mix of youngsters and veterans, who will be led by Burnaby’s Christine Sinclair.
Below is the final roster, who will come together as Team Canada regroups after its sixth place finish at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 last summer.
