Getting started in the workforce can be incredibly tough, but luckily the BGC South Coast BC is making it easier for young people to get their foot in the door.
The organization is recruiting for an innovative and FREE Club Activity Leader for its Youth Works employment program. And you might just be the perfect fit.

The Youth Works Opportunity
This one-of-a-kind program provides participants with up to 4 weeks of online workshops followed by up to 4 weeks of paid work and hands-on training as a Club Activity Leader in one of our eleven local kids Clubs located in communities such as North Vancouver, South Vancouver, East Vancouver, Mt. Pleasant, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, North Delta, City of Langley, Tsawwassen and Ladner.
The work placement may include funding for transit as well as clothing for interviews and work depending on need. In addition, it can include paid certification training courses in Childcare First Aid, WHMIS, Superhost and more for those who qualify for support. There’s also a financial bonus for those who successfully complete the program.
So, not only will you get paid while attending the program, but you’ll have a chance to secure ongoing employment at BGC South Coast BC with an opportunity for advancement once it’s completed.

Who’s Eligible
The ideal candidate must be aged 19 to 30 and fit the following criteria:
- Interested in working with kids of various ages
- Wants to work in a super fun workplace full of laughter, excitement and enthusiasm
- Prepared to plan a variety of indoor and outdoor activities
- Punctual and reliable
Please note that the Youth employABILITY Program is NOT suited to youth taking a break from school and who will be returning back to school full-time upon completion of the program.
The next intake of youth is for a program beginning October 1, 2024. Spots are limited, so you must apply in advance to be considered for a seat in the program. The workshops are typically held between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. through November 22, 2024
