Australia Day is coming up on January 26th and here are a few things you can do to take part in the holiday here in Vancouver.
Celebrate Australia Day In Vancouver
Grab a slice of pie from Aussie Pie Guy
Start the day off right by grabbing a pie at this popular food truck making their way around downtown Vancouver. Specializing in Australian-style pies, this eatery on wheels is a must. Their Aussie Pie is made with chunks of free range BC beef and onion in a pepper gravy made with Howe Sound Rail Ale. They have lots of other pie options and salads to choose from.
Watch the Vancouver Cougars

Hit the slopes
It’s no secret that a big reason why Australian’s come to Vancouver is to ski and snowboard. So why not hit the slopes at one of our beautiful mountains soaking up the beautiful weather and fresh powder. Any Aussie would approve of this decision.
Lounge at Anza Club
In the heart of Mount Pleasant, this social club is having some festivities just for Australia Day. Hit up this lounge with your friends, enjoy some eats and sips while taking in all things Australia from 5pm to midnight.
Party at Moose’s Down Under
A classic. Vancouver’s favourite Aussie bar and grill is non-negotiable on Australia Day. With Australian beers, unique pub grub (kangaroo burgers and meat pies), this place is all about Australia. And they even stream Aussie sports and have trivia nights. Stop by 830 West Pender Street.
