For the sixth consecutive year, the Art Institute of Vancouver has been named in The Princeton Review’s top 25 undergraduate schools for studying video game design. This year, the school is ranked fifth on the list, moving up three spots from last year’s rank of eighth place.
Among criteria weighed to make its selections were curriculum, faculty, facilities, career services and technology. The survey was conducted in the 2014 academic year of 150 institutions offering game design coursework and/or degrees in the United States, Canada, and some countries abroad.
“It is an incredible honor to once again be ranked among the top schools for Video Game Design by The Princeton Review,” said Tim Moscato, Chief Operating Officer, The Art Institutes. “We have been included in the top ten since the list’s inception, and to be included in the top five is a testament to the quality of our education and our dedication to preparing students for careers in the gaming industry.”
Of the schools included on the list, The Princeton Review’s Senior Vice President and Publisher, Robert Franek, stated, “For students aspiring to work in the burgeoning field of game design, we strongly recommend The Art Institute of Vancouver and each of the other schools that made our 2015 lists. They have exceptional professors and awesome, state-of-the-art facilities. Collectively, these schools have graduated legions of the industry’s most successful video game designers, developers, artists, and entrepreneurs.”
The Art Institute of Vancouver offers programs in the areas of Game Design & Programming and Animation.
