As the summer season winds down, Translink is gearing up to increase bus services across metro Vancouver to service the rush of students heading back to school.

Beginning September 7, Translink will bring back weekday buses that serve college and university routes, including SFU, UBC, BCIT, and Capilano, and also add more bus trips during peak hours. In addition, the transit provider has scheduled to increase its NightBus service for late night trips between downtown Vancouver and UBC, as well as late bus trips out of downtown Vancouver.
The change of service is a part of Translink’s seasonal schedule, which changes four times a year to meet shifts in ridership.
The next phase of the so-far plagued Compass Card rollout is also underway, which plans to activate all Compass Vending Machines throughout Skytrain and SeaBus terminals, and stock machines with Compass Cards by the end of October.
