New Translink CEO To Potentially Earn $414,000 + Benefits

Translink

Translink is looking for a new CEO, could it be you?

The transit provider has officially issued a job listing online to fill their CEO position which includes a salary of nearly 320,000, with notable benefits, topped with a bonus package.

The current job opening comes one month after the failed transit plebiscite, which saw over 60% of respondents across metro Vancouver voting NO to the new tax dedicated to helping fund new major Translink infrastructures.

According to the job listing, the successful candidate will:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
  • Hold excellent communication and media relations skills
  • Hold 5 – 10 years of experience in a related role
  • Earn an annual salary of  $319,244 plus a yearly bonus of up to 30 per cent of base salary. This could bump up the overall salary by another $95,773.
  • Offered six weeks of vacation
  • Receive a full benefits package including a $14,400 annual transportation allowance, a $1,200 parking allowance, and a $2,500 annual wellness allowance
  • Receive pension
  • Receive health benefits
  • Money to relocate (if moving from out of town)

Translink has notoriously been criticized for generous executive packages, and although the new CEO may earn north of $410,000, the salary is still ironically less than the previous CEO.
