6th Annual Vancouver Tree Lighting Celebration

Where To Buy A Fresh Christmas Tree in Metro-Vancouver

On Thursday, November 29th, Amacon will bring a Vancouver tradition to life for the sixth year in a row with a Rockefeller-style Tree Lighting Celebration benefiting local charities. The 50-foot tree will light up at Jack Poole Plaza at the Vancouver Convention Centre with performances by The Vancouver Children’s Choir, Christmas soloists and even Santa Claus himself joining in on the fun! The tree will be on display for all to enjoy until January 4th, 2013. If that’s not enough, check out more free fun listed below:

• Former Vancouver Canucks star Trevor Linden will officially light the tree
• Bro Jake from Rock 101 and Steve Darling from Global will co-host the event
• Appearances by members of the BC Lions along with the Felions
• Carl Valentine of the original Vancouver 86ers will be onsite
• Try out the city’s top food carts and food artisans, such as Re-Up BBQ and Guanco Truck!
• Hot chocolate and espresso will be handed out for free all night
+ more!

The city of Surrey has also started a annual tree lighting festival. However, if you’re sticking to Vancouver festivities, be sure to check out the Vancouver Christmas Market.
