Mostly everyone enjoys a good Christmas, or holiday, film around this time of year. There’s usually no shortage of holiday-themed films from animated specials to romantic-comedies. So, here is a list of 10 movies and specials that you might want to watch this holiday season.
Dr. Suess’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Whether you’re watching the animated TV special, or the live-action Jim Carrey version doesn’t matter. This film, based on the Dr. Suess children’s book, will always have the story of the Grinch, his dog Max and Whos of Whoville at Christmastime.
Elf
This 2003 film stars Will Ferrel as a human raised by Santa’s elves who ventures out to find his birth father in New York City.
A Christmas Carol
Charles Dicken’ novel of the same name has been adapted into many different films. Old Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Christmas Yet to Come before he is able to experience the joy of the season and what he is truly missing in his life. The 2009 animated version, with the voice of Jim Carrey as Scrooge, is the most recent of this classic story.
Mickey’s Christmas Carol

Wacko’s Wish
Not in the mood for Disney? Then maybe watch the Warner Bros animated film with the Wakko, Yakko, Dot and other familiar WB characters. It doesn’t take place during Christmas, but it does take place during the wintertime.

No holiday is complete without Charlie Brown. In this holiday special, Rerun asks Santa for a dog for Christmas because of the relationship between Charlie Brown and his dog, Snoopy.
