Love doesn’t cost a thing, right?
Unfortunately, that’s not the case according to a recent analysis published by Elite Singles that lists the most expensive cities for date night in Canada.
The article defined “date night” as “one that includes a mid-range dinner for two, a shared bottle of wine, two movie tickets, and an 8km taxi ride home”. From here they “looked at the average prices for each item to determine that a date night in Canada will set you back $125.”

If Vancouver is the most expensive place for a date night, what’s the cheapest? That would be Winnipeg, where the dating service says you’ll pay approximately $116 for a night out.
