Magic was bound to happen when Vancouver photographer David Cooper and dancer Danielle Gardner collaborated on Shadow State, a “dance on film” project.
The concept was to experiment with movement and light and capture it all on film for everyone to see. David shot the piece in his Vancouver studio on the Movi5 and the Sony A7s in 4K while Danielle choreographed the piece and danced alongside Regan Calicetto and Taylor Dolan.
The two collaborators bring a lot of passion and skill to the table as David is known nation-wide as an excellent dance photographer and Danielle is most recognized for her time on So You Think You Can Dance Canada, Season 3.
