Vancouver Actor Wakes Up With Supernatural Powers In New Series “Beyond”
Remember when Jack woke up from a plane crash on an island in Lost? Or when Rick woke up from a coma to a zombie-inflicted world in The Walking Dead? One of Vancouver’s own, Burkley Duffield, will soon also be waking up from a coma this time to possess supernatural powers. He plays Holden in Freeform’s (formerly ABC Family) upcoming drama series Beyond.

Burkley recently starred in House of Anubis and has appeared in Vancouver television productions like Supernatural and Minority Report. He also plays Callan in the upcoming Warcraft film. His sister Victoria is also an actor as well as a singer and dancer made famous on the 3rd season YTV’s The Next Star – making it to the Top 6.

Jonathan Whitesell, another Vancouver-based actor, has also been cast to Beyond and will play Burkley’s on-screen brother. Jonathan was born on Vancouver Island and grew up in Duncan before moving to Vancouver to pursue the arts. He has also guest starred in Vancouver television productions like Once Upon a Time, The 100 and X-Files.

The pilot episode of Beyond filmed around metro Vancouver last summer and was then picked up for its debut season. Filming is expected to return here this Spring and run into early Summer.
