Team Canada’s Matches
Team Canada’s matches have also been finalized on Friday’s draw. They’ll be playing against Qatar and Switzerland, as well as the Europe Playoff A winner– one of which could potentially be No. 12 Italy.
We won’t know who Canada’s opening opponent will be until March, but the most favourable matchup would be either Wales, Northern Ireland, or Bosnia and Herzegovina. Facing Italy would definitely be the hardest match for Canada, considering that Team Italy has won four World Cups.
Here’s what Team Canada’s schedule looks like:
- June 12 at BMO Field, Toronto: Canada vs. UEFA Playoff A Winner
- June 18 at BC Place, Vancouver: Canada vs. Qatar (No. 51)
- June 24 at BC Place, Vancouver: Canada vs. Switzerland (No. 17)
