The largest T&T Supermarket in Canada opens in Richmond’s Lansdowne Centre this week.
On Thursday, August 16th, the massive 70,000 square foot market will officially open for shopping.
The space was formerly owned by Target, which is roughly two times the size of a regular store. In addition to an in-house bakery, the stores typically have a deli, as well as a sushi and Chinese barbecue department.
There are two other stores in the area, including the Yaohan Centre and one at Hollybridge Way.
With rapid expansion, T&T is now the largest Asian supermarket chain in Canada.

The supermarket will be the largest of its kind in the nation; however, investors plan to tear down the mall in roughly 10 years. As such, the centre will be taken down during the redevelopment.
Vanprop Investments owns Landsdowne Centre, and the group have stated that they plan to tear down the structure and replace it with numerous high rise towers. In fact, the developer has big plans for the 50 acrea area that is framed by No. 3 Road to the west.
In addition to revamping the mall, Richmond has plans to redevelop many areas of the city, and very soon. For example, Capstan Station, located near No.3 Road, is moving ahead with construction after getting an impressive $3.5 million from the city.
