TRANSPORT CANADA RECALL FORD

The recall is for Ford brand vehicles that have an issue with their power brake assist. It was originally published on October 10, 2025 and was updated on October 15.

Transport Canada states that “certain vehicles may not meet the minimum stopping requirements of Canadian regulations. In particular, the vehicle may have an extended stopping distance if there is a loss of power brake assist.” The crash risk is increased as it may take longer than usual for these vehicles to come to a complete stop.

It is important to note that vehicles with an electronic brake booster (EBB) are not affected by this recall. In fact, this recall is replacing the Transport Canada Ford recall no. 2021-727. If your vehicle was repaired under that recall, then there are no further steps for you to take.

CORRECTIVE ACTIONS

Transport Canada is informing owners that Ford will notify them by mail. They will then advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership, where they will replace the front brake pads.

The recall currently affects 9,344 Ford vehicles. You can find all the make and model details below.

  • Ford Bronco 2021
