It’s safe to say that Vancouverites are not the biggest fan of TransLink, but these new limited edition mini Compass Cards might be a different story.

Beginning this Friday, December 6th, TransLink will be releasing a new limited edition mini compass card.

According to TransLink, there will only be 5,000 mini blue adult cards and 2,500 mini orange concession cards available.

These cute little cards, dubbed the “Compass Mini” will only be available at the customer service counter at Stadium-Chinatown SkyTrain Station and the West Coast Express office at Waterfront Station.

“The launch of Compass Mini is a part of our commitment to enhance the customer experience. Compass Wristbands have been a real hit and I’m sure customers will enjoy the convenience and practicality of the new Compass Mini”, said TransLink CEO Kevin Desmond.

The Compass Wristbands Desmond alludes to were released last December and sold out within hours. Like the wristbands, there will also be a $6 deposit on these new mini compass cards.

In other TransLink-related news, the public transportation company’s “reindeer buses” hit the street this week. In addition, TransLink also announced a series of new initiatives earlier this week, as part of their updated Winter Preparedness Plan.
