With the warm season among us, it’s time to start planning that camping trip with your family and friends.

There’s a number of great campsites just outside of the Vancouver area (road trip!) that are completely free to set up your tent in and enjoy a magical night underneath the stars. Soak in the great outdoors of British Columbia at one of the many free campsites below.

Squamish Riverside

One of the most popular destinations with 10 campsites and two outhouses. Given its location next to the Squamish River, the site is well known for fishing,  canoeing, and swimming.

Abbott Lake

The area has three campsites and is a popular spot for boating and fishing. Located in Merritt, BC.

Garrison Lakes
With just one campsite, this area has a lot of hiking trails and fishing spots for your camping trip. Located in Princeton, BC.

Amor Lake

Filled with many sandy beaches, enjoy the lake view at one of their five campsites. Located near Campbell River, BC.

Gray Lake

A great spot for swimming and canoeing, this lake offers six campsites. Located near Campbell River, BC.
