A day before May the 4th, All Nippon Airways’ (ANA) Boeing 787-900 dreamliner returned to Vancouver for a short appearance.
All Nippon Airways is Japan’s largest airline, and recently collaborated with Star Wars to transform two of their largest planes with characters from the recent movie, one being R2-D2 and the other BB-8 (a new droid in Star Wars: The Force Awakens).
Flight NH116 touched down at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) Tuesday afternoon. It was berthed at the international terminal’s gate D66 for less than a handful of hours before taking off again.
Despite the short visit, many local Star Wars fans and international travelers at the airport were thrilled by the surprise and shared their excitement on social media.
