Outdoor Pools In Vancouver
The Kitsilano, Second Beach, and New Brighton Park pools opened on May 18th.
As the city’s only saltwater swimming pool, Kitsilano’s beautiful waterfront pool is located right along Kitsilano Beach. The family-friendly pool measures an incredible 137 metres in length, as a result, this makes it over double the size of an Olympic pool. In addition, there’s even two slides to make your visit even more memorable.
The Second Beach Pool, located in Stanley Park, has a sloped entry, gradual depths for families, and separated lanes for lap swimmers. It measures 80 metres in length and also has a café onsite.
The New Brighton Park Pool has regular length swimming and a sloped, beach-style entry for young children. It measures 80 metres in length and has a slide and a café onsite.

All 13 of the city’s will open this weekend. New menu items include vegetarian curries, locally made fresh beef burgers and Beyond Meat plant based burgers, ginger beef lettuce wraps, ramen noodles, and their hand-battered fish and chips.
Ranger Station in Stanley Park
A Ranger Station in Stanley Park will be staffed seven days a week and hours will be determined at a later time. Its main purpose is to “educate the public on fire safety, including the smoking ban in parks and beaches”.
This Ranger Station also helps with bylaw enforcement, monitoring play fields, finding missing persons, first aid, homeless issues, fire patrol, as well as work with Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services, Vancouver Police Department and BC Ambulance Service.
