One Lower Mainland park is getting some major, million-dollar upgrades in preparation for camping season. With work soon to take place, campers can expect expansions and further accessibility when the rain and snow finally turns to sun.
Rolley Lake Park Upgrades
In a recent media release, the Government of British Columbia announced that “construction will begin on 32 new campsites at Rolley Lake Park so more people can get outside and enjoy nature.”
Rolley Lake Park is known for its flat wilderness area that is blanketed with tall trees. It has a small lake that is great for swimming, fishing, and paddling, making it an ideal location for campers who like the lakeside. It is also less than an hour drive from Vancouver, as it is located near Mission.

Major Updates
Rolley Lake Park will be receiving $4 million in upgrades. This includes the aforementioned to-be added campsites, but also accessibility upgrades to the existing toilet and shower building. Service centres will also be getting similar updates. Moreover, electrical and wastewater system upgrades are part of the project, too.
The project is anticipated to be complete by spring 2026, just in time for camping season. Although, there will be limited access to the camping sites during construction.
If you’re interested in camping at Rolley Lake Park, it is open year-round. Camping site reservations are currently closed for the season, but they do have 17 walk-in sites. Once spring 2026 comes along, the park will have expanded camping capacity, even more accessibility options, and a shiny new sheen to an already fantastic park.
