On Tuesday afternoon, a pod of orca whales were spotted in and around the North Vancouver area.
They were seen making their way around near Cates Park and Deep Cove.
Takaya Tours, a First Nation adventure eco tour company, captured these two videos:

The Vancouver Police Department’s marine squad also spotted the pod of orcas:
The whales we see in the water are amazing but remember that there are rules regarding how close boats can be to these mammals. All vessels should keep at least 200 meters away from killer whales. https://t.co/a87OaI4vU0 pic.twitter.com/5GZYgDe2ag

Just last week, another group of orcas came into the Vancouver Harbour making their way under the Lions Gate Bridge.
Wild killer whales are not considered a threat to humans, but people are reminded to keep a safe distance from them.
