Summer Night Concerts

Besides the rides and food, one of the biggest draws to the fair is the concert series. This year’s line-up is pretty spectacular, with artists like Billy Idol, The Beach Boys, TLC, MC Hammer, and 98 Degrees. There’s also going to be an I Love 90’s night featuring popular artists: Vanilla Ice, Montell Jordan, Biz Markie, and Rob Base.

Knights Of Valour

If you enjoy all things medieval; you have to go to this jousting show. It’s back by popular demand for one more summer and features full-contact jousting. It’s a thrilling and entertaining show you won’t want to miss out on.

If you went to the PNE and didn’t go to a SuperDogs show—did you really even go? It’s a classic PNE event that you must attend. This year, they’re presenting Abracadabark with a magician as your guide. Dogs and magic—what could be better?

Browse the Marketplace

Shoppers can browse an array of vendors at the PNE Forum. It’s a PNE tradition, with over 150 booths to peruse through. They have everything from fashion and cosmetics to special appliances and home decor items.

Marvel at the PNE Prize Home

Take a tour of the PNE Prize Home. This year’s package is worth over $2 million; which includes a modern farmhouse in Kelowna, five dream vacations, five BMWs, five cash prizes and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Get your fries super-sized, quite literally. Foot-long hot dogs have been done; so why not foot long fries? Garlic parmesan fries at Freakk Fries are the perfect fair snack. Additional options include butter chicken, chocolate, chipotle mayo, ranch and bacon as well as sour cream and cheese.

Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Corndogs

If you like the flavour of hot dog Cheetos and corndogs—this is the dish for you. The unique offering blends together two beloved foods and is sure to be a big hit amongst fair-goers.

Pickle Cotton Candy

It’s already the talk of the town; for the right reasons? That’s for you to decide. Cotton candy is the most popular fair food so switch it up a bit with a hint of dill.

Jalapeno Lemonade

Lemonade with a kick. Skip the traditional summer beverage and try this one with a lot more heat. Its tart and spicy flavour combination will either be something you love or hate—but definitely worth a try.

Jimmy’s Lunch

It may not be new, but it will serve up some nostalgia. This year, the PNE is celebrating its longest running concession stand—Jimmy’s Lunch. The vendor has been at the PNE for 90 consecutive years. They serve iconic hamburgers piled high with fried onions. You can’t go to the PNE without getting a burger.

Check out the PNE, on now until September 2nd at 2901 E Hastings St, Vancouver.
