Oysters, anyone? There’s nothing better than a sunny day spent drinking beer and eating oysters. Say hello to Papi’s Seafood and Oyster Bar, opening its doors June 6.
Vancouver’s newest purveyor has the best location—right in the heart of the West End, on Denman Street. And you’ll be able to soak up all the views with their patio overlooking English Bay.
So, get your fill of oysters before or after soaking up the sun at English Bay beach.
The casual seafood-focused eatery and bar will also have a bright and spacious dining room, complete with an oyster bar. Their menu is full of locally sourced seafood dishes and freshly shucked oysters on the half shell as well as a bar menu featuring a variety of signature cocktails, sparkling wine and craft beer on tap.
It’s taking over the old Beach Bay Cafe and Patio space, as the latest project for the Viaggo Hospitality Group, which also owns Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio, Cibo Trattoria and UVA Wine & Cocktail Bar.
Dig into favourites like ceviches, crudo, freshly shucked oysters, or their signature seafood platter with all the fixins.
The restaurant’s head chef Max Straczek appeared on The Food Network Canada’s latest season of Top Chef Canada and has worked at a number of Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe as well as local establishments, including Fable Kitchen and Fable Diner.
