There are a great deal of celebrities that swamp the headlines when they purchase properties; however, Oprah is in a league of her own.
The beloved talk-show host, philanthropist, writer, and actress recently purchased a home on an island in Washington State. Obviously, this has made residents of Metro Vancouver extremely excited, as the entertainment mogul’s mere name creates a frenzy.
Of course, she didn’t purchase just any sort of property. Indeed, this sprawling estate sits on the largest of the San Juan Islands, and sold for a whopping $8.3 million USD, or approximately $10.7 million CAD.
