It’s not a stretch to say that One Under is one of the most unique pubs in Vancouver.
Part of what makes it unique is that it’s 5,000 square-feet, and it’s all underground in the heart of Downtown Vancouver’s Financial District. (476 Granville Street, to be specific.)
For starters, they don’t refer to themselves as a pub. They call themselves an “urban golf club, eatery, and watering hole.”
That first thing is what truly makes them unique, though.
One Under Vancouver
One Under features six golf simulation bays, each powered by HD Golf. These top-tier simulators allow you to “play a round at one of the best golf courses in the world, compete in a long drive or closest to the pin contest, or just to hit golf balls at windows in an old building.”
(You don’t need to bring anything, besides your best golf swing.)
Simulator bays can be reserved for $50 an hour, half-price on Sundays and Mondays, and even less considering you likely won’t be going alone. There’s also the private “1911 Room”, which is really more a suite. (Like The Den Arcade & Drinkery, they also have skee-ball.)
Food-wise, they have what you’d expect. Sandwiches, sliders, various pizzas, salads, and charcuterie. The staples.
“High quality items that will satisfy a brief lunch break, corporate meeting, or evening nosh session”, they say.
With this being a “pub” (my words, not theirs), there’s, of course, drinks. (Even better: there’s daily drink specials.)
“We provide something for all palates with rotating local craft beers, wine on tap, signature cocktails and great scotches”, says One Under.
Their menu backs it up, with cocktail options such as Moscow Mule, Granville Punch, and the Seahawk; bottled beer from around the globe; and draft beer from all over the province. Not to mention 19 options for Scotch, 15 different wines, and a couple ciders as a cherry on top.
