Burnaby residents will have a new place to grocery shop this fall when Walmart Supercentre opens doors in Metropolis at Metrotown.
The new Walmart will occupy a wing in the upper corner of the mall, and takeover the massive location previously occupied by retail giants Target and Zellers (and pop-up Halloween costume shops every October).
The store plans to debut in the fall, with signs currently adorning the wall advertising the upcoming opening.

The area has been under construction for the past few months, and is sure to provide a positive impact to one of the mall’s more quiet corners.
Metrotown is one of the largest shopping centres in Canada, with nearly 400 stores and services.
