Krispy Kreme plans to show its Celtic pride by celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this year with a special shamrock-green doughnut.

For one day only, the doughnut and coffee chain will change the name of its most iconic doughnut to the “O’riginal Glazed” with specially formulated green dough.

The St. Patrick’s themed green doughnut will be available for one day only on Friday, March 17.

“St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect occasion to change the color of the Original Glazed®, and our customers love sharing them with family and friends,” said Jackie Woodward, Chief Marketing Officer of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. “What’s even rarer – like finding a four-leaf clover – is altering the name of such an iconic product. We’ve never done it. But in this instance, it’s fun and joyful, just like the holiday.”

British Columbia’s one and only Krispy Kreme location is located on Scott Road in Delta.
