In Depp’s latest venture he plays a college professor who discovers that he is terminally ill. Determined to live out his remaining days as fully as possible, Richard embarks on a journey of reckless abandon fuelled by drinking, women, smoking, and a sharp tongue that spits insults every which way.

Directed by Wayne Roberts, the film is a natural choice for Johnny Depp who is no stranger to playing roles that spotlight a wild, animated character with a distinctive personality. From Captain Jack Sparrow to Edward Scissorhands, Willy Wonka to the Mad Hatter, Depp creates an electric vibrancy on the silver-screen.

Johnny was last in Vancouver for a reshoot of the Pirates 5 film in March and April 2017. Paul McCartney made a cameo appearance on set while he was in town.

Depp also shot the 80s hit TV show 21 Jump Street in Vancouver, so he is no stranger to the city.

As of right now the exact locations for filming are unknown but once he is spotted it will be sure to cause a stir. Be sure to mark your calendars for a chance to see Johnny Depp in the flesh this summer!
