This Friday, The Fair at the PNE will open the doors to its 79th annual PNE Prize Home for the first of six preview days ahead of The Fair. This is a unique opportunity for a sneak peek inside the mountain style home that brings both comfort and design together to perfectly capture the essence of its final destination – the beautiful mountains of Sun Peaks Resort.
The interior of the home has been designed by reality TV star and celebrity designer Jillian Harris, who first garnered international fame on the hit ABC reality TV series The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Jillian has since returned to her first love of interior design and has starred on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and hosted HGTV’s Canada’s Next Handyman. She is currently co-hosting the W Network’s Love It or List It Vancouver.
For the 2013 PNE Prize Home, Jillian has designed a traditional home with lots of modern twists. The house is filled with classical architectural details and state of the art fixtures and appliances. The main floor of the home has floor to ceiling windows creating and open airy space and features a crisp black kitchen with a modern walk-in wine cellar. There is plenty of outdoor space on both levels, with an indoor and outdoor fireplace that is the perfect place to share a special moment with family and friends.
