Health Canada Issues Alert For Popular Toy Formerly Sold On Amazon That Poses Injury Risks

Health Canada has just issued a consumer product advisory alert regarding a toddler train set toy that was previously sold on Amazon.ca.

They are asking all consumers to “immediately stop using the affected product.”

Consumer Product Advisory: Electric Train Set for Toddlers

The advisory concerns the product Electric Train Set for Toddlers (ASIN: B0FFH5Y7HH), which was formerly available on Amazon.ca. The product includes 1 light up steam train, 1 fire truck, 1 dump truck, 1 mixer truck, 6 traffic signs, 8 curved tracks and 2 straight tracks etc. The train set also has a magnetic connection system and a built-in smoke function.

The issue is due to the affected product’s lack of clutch device. This means that the toy has continuous gear operation. The wheels to continue to spin with no external force interruption mechanism. This can cause injury to an individual upon skin contact.

Health Canada is advising consumers to “immediately stop using the affected product and safely dispose of it in such a way that it cannot be used again.” The product has since been removed from online sale from Amazon.ca. Health Canada has also contacted the “foreign selling company.”

As of January 28, 2026, there have been no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
