Locals are in for a treat next month. A dazzling Full Flower Moon will shine bright across Vancouver’s skies this May.
According to the the Old Farmer’s Almanac, May’s full moon “marked a time of increasing fertility, with temperatures warm enough for safely bearing young, a near end to late frosts, and plants in bloom”.

Depending on the tribe, May’s full Moon was called the Full Flower Moon, as well as the Mother’s Moon, Milk Moon, and Corn Planting Moon.
The full moon will light up local skies on Saturday, May 18th at 5:11 p.m. The last quarter will be visible on Sunday, May 26th at 12:34 p.m. All dates and times for the listed moon sightings are Eastern Time (ET).
But of course, in order to get the best vantage point for this, you should go as far away from the city lights as you can get. Parks, remote and rural areas are typically better for catching a glimpse of this natural wonder.
