Heavy rains and flooding in are causing chaos across Metro Vancouver this afternoon.
Downpours have forced the closure of a New Westminster skytrain station, impacting countless transit riders. Meanwhile in Burnaby, the heavy rain is washing out roads and causing flooding.
According to photos shared on Twitter, the Still Creek Drive area in Burnaby seems to be the storm’s heaviest hit.

Weather
Environment Canada issued a wind and rain warning earlier this morning. A Pacific frontal system moving across the South Coast today will result in winds up to 80 km/h in most inner regions. The winds are expected to ease this afternoon as the front moves inland.
Fire departments are on stand-by if help is needed. Call 911 if you require assitance.
