The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival (VCBF) is back and ready to paint the city in vibrant pinks, whites, and every pastel shade in between. From March 26 to April 28, 2025, the city will be in full bloom, celebrating spring with a packed lineup of events, activities, and, of course, the stunning cherry blossoms.
What’s Blooming This Year?
Blossom Block Party (April 5, 2025): A brand new FREE event this year! Head to the Bentall Centre Courtyard in Downtown Vancouver for a block party featuring music, dance, food, and entertainment. It’s a celebration of the cherry blossoms and the perfect way to enjoy the festival with friends and family.
Blossoms After Dark (March 28–30, 2025): Experience the magic of cherry blossoms under the stars. David Lam Park will light up with stunning light installations and roaming performers, creating a magical evening experience you won’t want to miss.
The Big Picnic (March 29, 2025): Grab your picnic blanket and head to David Lam Park! This family-friendly event brings live music, arts, and plenty of spring vibes—perfect for enjoying the cherry blossoms and some tasty treats.
Sakura Days Japan Fair (April 12-13, 2025): VanDusen Botanical Garden transforms into a Japanese cultural haven. Enjoy traditional tea ceremonies, sake tastings, and performances, all while celebrating the spirit of Japan in Vancouver.
Tree Walks and Bike Rides: Explore the cherry blossoms on foot or by bike! Join a guided tour through iconic spots like Queen Elizabeth Park and VanDusen Botanical Garden for the best views of the blossoms.
