A Popular Pizza Pop Brand Was Just Recalled Across Canada

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has just issued a massive recall across Canada for a popular brand of pizza pops. The affected products are reportedly contaminated with E.Coli O26, which can cause serious illness in some people.

The CFIA is currently advising consumers on the appropriate next steps, as well as which products are being recalled.

Pizza Pop Recall In Canada

The recall concerns Pillsbury brand Pizza Pops. The affected product types include varieties like “3 Cheese”, “Pepperoni” and “3 Meat”, among others.

The products are being recalled because of a possible E.coli O26 contamination. According to the CFIA, “food contaminated with E. coli O26 may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.” Potential symptoms include nausea, vomiting, mild to severe abdominal cramps and water to bloody diarrhea.

In more severe cases of illness, some people may have seizures or strokes, need blood transfusions and kidney dialysis, or live with permanent kidney damage. People may also die in very severe cases of illness.

Consumers are asked to not consume, serve, use, sell, or distribute the affected product. They should instead be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.

This recall is an expansion of a December 2025 notice for other Pillsbury brand Pizza Pops that were also possibly contaminated with E.coli O26.
