Cookies Sold At Superstore Recalled Due To ‘Metal Wire’

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has alerted the public to a recall for a brand of cookies sold at various grocery stores, including Real Canadian Superstore. Due to “metal wire”, the cookies are being pulled from shelves.

The cookies in question are President’s Choice brand English-Style Gingersnap Cookies, recalled by Loblaw Companies Limited.

As mentioned above, the affected products are being recalled due to “metal wire.”

The notice does not mention if any injuries or incidents are related to the consumption of the affected products, although this is a Class II recall. This means “there is a moderate risk that consuming the food may lead to short-term or non-life threatening health problems.”

“Do not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product,” urges the CFIA.
