This driver should’ve slowed down and also decided to check their surroundings. On Thursday, the Delta Police Traffic Unit spotted a driver speeding on Highway 17 before 80th Avenue.
Police did not keep up with the speeder, but did end up “ahead of him at the lights near Tsawwassen Mills mall”.
Busted!

“Traffic lights, the great equalizer. That’s $196 to you sir” reads the tweet.
It’s been a busy month so far for Delta Police. During the first two weeks of school, police handed out 217 violation tickets to drivers for speeding or distracted driving.
If you’re not going to slow down, just be prepared to pay the price.
