CSIS Is Hiring Across Canada With $120,000 Salaries If You Can Read A Foreign Language

If you’re looking for a new career, then you could find it with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), as they’re currently hiring. If you know a second language, and have experience in using social media and computers, then you’re already a few steps into the requirements.

This opening is for Foreign Language Communication Analysts. “This position will be of interest to individuals who are able to translate from one or more foreign languages identified below into French or English and who are able to work effectively as part of a team,” says the job posting.

Foreign Language Communication Analysts are responsible for reading and listening to foreign language material. They then determine its relevance and importance, and produce translations and draft reports based on the intelligence value in the material. This helps generate leads for investigations.

Foreign Language Communication Analyst Requirements

Applicants are required to hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada. Additionally, they must have at least two years of experience in research and analysis and report writing. Do note that any higher level of education could be recognized as experience.

Further requirements include working in a team environment, use of computer applications and tools, use of computer systems, and proficiency at a specialized level in any of the posting’s listed languages.

As this position is meant for experienced workers, the salary range is from $99,392 to $120,917. The application closing date is January 7, 2026.
