You Can Now Buy $139,000 Dalmore Whiskies In Vancouver
The product of more than 150 years of craftsmanship and 45 years of careful coddling, The Dalmore Constellation Collection – 1960s Decades Set, a collection of four of the world’s rarest single malt whiskies, will have its own special launch on February 17 at the British Columbia Liquor Distribution Branch’s (BCLDB) flagship Signature liquor store, located at 39th & Cambie Street in Vancouver. The collection sells for $139,000.  Each vintage is housed in a spectacular hand-blown crystal decanter, engraved with the year of distillation, age and cask number and adorned with a solid silver royal stag, the emblem of The Dalmore distillery since 1867. Each of the four vintages has its own array of flavours to suit diverse tastes.

The 60s Collection includes:

  • Vintage 1964 (Cask 09/693) – aged 46 years, 1 of only 35 bottles released
  • Vintage 1966 (Cask 7) – aged 45 years, 1 of only 41 bottles released
  • Vintage 1969 (Cask 14) – aged 42 years, 1 of only 39 bottles released
  • Vintage 1969 (Cask 1) – aged 43 years, 1 of only 35 bottles released
This marks the first and only time a set of all 4 vintages from the 1960s decade of The Dalmore Constellation Collection has been offered globally. The ageing process of these natural cask, undiluted whiskies has left each with an individual colour ranging from deepest mahogany to honeyed gold. This is a release whose like is seldom seen in Canada. With single malt whisky an increasingly coveted luxury spirit worldwide, aficionados truly appreciate the quality, extraordinary craftsmanship and limited availability of The Dalmore. The distillery has been ranked among the top 25 fastest growing global malt brands by International Wine and Spirits Research and was named number two in the Rare Whisky Investors index for 2014 by the independent authority, Rare Whisky 101. It is now recognized as the top operational distillery and only sits behind the iconic silent still Brora, closed in 1983.
