As for the reason behind this decision, we’ve been told that the building has been sold. No other details were shared at the moment.
Located at 300 Cambie Street in Vancouver, The Cambie is Vancouver’s oldest bar, with 2019 being their 122nd year being open. The bar’s original building was burnt to the ground in 1886, but was recently re-built.
Not to mention, the establishment was named:
- #1 Place to Get Wasted on the Cheap (Vice Magazine)
- Best Place in Vancouver for Cheap Beers (Georgia Straight Best of Vancouver, 2012)
- 2nd Best Place in Vancouver to Pick Up Girls (Georgia Straight Best of Vancouver, 2012)
Known for their cheap drinks and lively atmosphere, you still have time to drop by and celebrate Vancouver’s original bar.
